Why have Mercedes Benz been so successful over the years?

The company created their first automobile in 1901 and twenty seven years later, the name, Mercedes-Benz was born. From that day, they have been regarded as pioneers in design development and technology allowing their automobiles to be some of the most popular throughout the world.
They have set industry standards as well as expectations from a buying public, for contemporary motor vehicles as it was Mercedes who introduced features we now take for granted such as the float carburettor, the honeycomb radiator, the “drop chassis” and the internal combustion engine/ They have now been adopted as standard features among motor vehicles.
Their firs car was the Mercedes-Benz SSK, which was introduced in 1928. With speeds of 120 miles per hour, making it the fastest car in the world at the time. It’s reputation for speed continued as it later became a powerful name in sports racing.
They enjoyed a lot of success due to the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz Type 300, which was the modern S-class car of its time. It was exclusive and blended elegance with power. They didn’t become a prominent figure in Formula One until the 90s. And it wasn’t until 2009 when Brawn GP, Ross Brown’s F1 team used a Mercedes engine to win them the championship. To celebrate this victory, the team changed its name to Mercedes GP for the following season.
They are seen as a progressive brand and have continued to maintain that strength but not just in then power and performance of their vehicles. They have taken a responsible approach towards the environment with a large number of low carbon vehicles being releases which includes the F700 concept vehicle. This was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007. Two subsequent models, which gave off low carbon emissions, were introduced and sparked the interest of Mercedes-Ben fans who had a similar attitude towards the environment and who would entertain the idea of a leasing deal with the brand.
