Use Affirmations to Manifest Anything You Desire

Do you know how to use affirmations? As with just about any subject, there are a lot of nay sayers when it comes to affirmations. Many will state that affirmations do not work. Well many people will tell you that investing in the stock market did not produce positive results for them as well. Yet there are people that have made a killing in the stock market.

Where am I going with this?

My point is simply this … maybe you do not fully understand the correct way to make affirmations work for you. You can say affirmations for many subjects: health, wealth, anxiety, love, etc. you name it. The key to making affirmations work … is how they make you feel. Does your affirmation change your mood? Or do you have an inner voice cancelling the affirmation? Do you hear your small voice (ego) telling you it just isn’t true? “I am rich”, “I am lean and at my ideal weight”, “I am in a wonderful loving relationship with my soul-mate”.

Your self talk probably gets into a little argument with you: “wealthy – ya right”, “you don’t look like you are at your ideal weight”, “attractive? then why are you alone”. When this happens it is time to show who is the boss. You either control your mind or your mind controls you. Get into the feeling place of your affirmations. When you affirm you are lean, feel the feelings of being lean. Affirmations used this way will reprogram your subconscious to get what you want.

Words by themselves do nothing. You need to feel the power of your words – as in the words in your affirmations need to inspire, uplift, change your state of being so you do feel better. So pick words that bring you mental pictures that uplift you and feel good.

I often use just one word affirmations like “love”, “energy” or “riches”. As long as the word invokes a positive feeling change then I affirm it. Often when I am feeling I need an energy boost, I will affirm “energy” and in a short time I have the energy I desired.

To make affirmations really work for you – you need to practice each day. Set aside some time and really do them. Make sure you invoke a feeling change for the better. You can even write out affirmations or even type them out. The key is a feeling change. Without it, you are likely wasting your time.
