Understanding Lung Cancer Symptoms
Most people will not have any signs of lung cancer, even though when they are diagnosed with the disease.
Diagnosis of lung cancer is often by accident and happens when the chest is x-rayed for another reason.
Many people will have some symptoms even when the symptoms are present they are misdiagnosed as other respiratory illnesses.
Here are things to watch for that could be the symptoms of lung cancer:
* Persistent cough
* Coughing up blood
* Breathlessness
* A cough that gets worse
* Breathing problems
* Roughness
* Reoccurrence of acute respiratory
It is easy to see why the symptoms may just be brushed off as another respiratory illness.
You must be persistent if you are experiencing more than one of these symptoms of lung cancer.
You can ask your doctor for specific tests such as x-rays, which are not so difficult to get and noninvasive.
A doctor will be more likely to grant that request then he would if you were asking for a more extensive test.
You can explain to your doctor that you worry and believe you are at risk for lung cancer.
Most of the time a doctor will be willing to consider your concerns and this may just be what you need to get the test that will allow you an early lung cancer diagnosis.
Other things to watch for that are related to the symptoms of lung cancer include the following things are a result of cancer cells in the body.
* Cancer present in adrenal glands, bones, liver or brain.
* Extra tissue under the fingernails
* There is new bone growth in the legs or arms
* Anemia
* Muscle weakness
* Rash skin
* Blood with high calcium levels
* Blood with low sodium level
* Brain relapse
* Weight loss
* Fatigue
It is not easy to diagnose any type of cancer, but it is even harder to diagnose the type of cancer with the confusing symptoms.
