Tips for Saving My Relationship – Will My Ex Get Back With Me?
January 11, 2010 by Lynn Huber
“I cannot say goodbye to you, no matter how I try.”
The majority of couples who have invested time, emotions and desires into their relationship feel pretty much the same about that line. It is just so wrong to end a relationship because times are harder. Almost any relationship deserves a second, third, or even fourth chance. Obviously there was something good there in the beginning. Nourish it and move forward.
Almost all relationships are “salvageable”, “adjustable” and “workable” except, of course for those abusive ones. Cases of abuse relationships should end. There is no point in preserving an abusive relationship whether physical, emotional or verbal.
If you think that your relationship is still important then you need to rethink what you are doing and look at things from a different angle. How do you feel about your mate. Do you still want him/her in your life? What are you actually willing to do to save this relationship? Are you truly willing to try?
For couples who go their separate ways and as a vocal clamor for divorce strengthens even more, you might ask, “Is saving my relationship even possible?” The answer is a sound YES. There is no conclusiveness to a relationship when the two of you are still willing and able to change for the better and doing something to make things right.
Is it easy to let go when most relationships become too entangling? You share your private thoughts and feelings and the attachment is not just physical but also emotional. The toughest thing to do in a relationship is saying goodbye. As much as you possibly can, try not to say goodbye, just put an end to any trouble, bickering or pain and go back to first base.
Although the process of saving a relationship is a daunting task, be willing to go through the process the same way you were more than willing to be involved with the person in the first place.
It is indeed possible to save a relationship. Even amidst breakdown in marriages and relationships gone haywire, there are still relationships that have prevailed, have flourished and have lasted through time. You can have that kind of relationship if you decide to have one!
