The Power Of Conversational Hypnosis

I am going to give you some information about how, if used by the wrong sort of people, conversational hypnosis can be dangerous. If used to its full potential, then you can use conversational hypnosis to make people do anything.

A famous UK hypnotist is Derren Brown. He’s been on TV a lot showing his skills to the nation. An example of a particular act was when he selected a random person in the street and hypnotised them to willingly withdraw thousands for their bank account to give to him.

This person did this with no questions asked. They had no idea that they had been hypnotised into it. Then he wiped their memory clear of the previous 10 minutes’ events.

Even when the person watched back what they had done, they had no recollection of doing it at all. This however is a bit of a far fetched example as Derren Brown is probably the best person in the world at doing this.

However, conversational hypnosis is now being used in an illegal way. An example of this is a string of crimes in America whereby a man hypnotised shop workers into handing over till money to him

Once they were under his spell he would then ask them to fill up his bag with money and then he would walk away. The only reason staff became aware of this scam was because the tills never added up properly at the end of the week and CCTV footage exposed to them what was going on.

There are several other reports of professional hypnotists using their skills to steal or con money out of people. What makes it such a perfect crime is the fact that the victims have no memory about it afterwards so it is hard to provide the authorities with evidence.

I’ve had a look at conversational hypnosis myself and I must say that I have been finding implementing and learning about it very enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone who wants to try. I will offer a word of advice though – don’t let your new found abilities go to your head and stay in control of what you are doing.
