Many people wonder why men date younger women. Often, there are no specific reasons, but sometimes there are some very obvious ones.
If you are curious as to why men date younger women, often it is because a man wants to feel younger himself. Perhaps he just ended a long relationship with a woman about his own age. He feels as though he missed out on something during that time, so now he wants to “reclaim his youth”.
An additional reason why men date younger women is that younger women typically go along with what an older man says. Someone who is closer to a man’s actual age will be much more mature and self confident in a relationship. She will “stand up for herself” or stand her ground, whereas a younger woman may still be fairly unsure about how she should behave in a relationship. Most men don’t like to be “bossed around” or told what to do in a relationship.
One particularly shallow reason why men date younger women is simply because they want to make other men jealous because they have a “catch”, when often, the woman is simply interested in the wallet and financial resources of the older man. This is not true of all women dating older men, but when you see a massive age difference such as 40 years, you have to wonder what the attraction is, aside from the financial factor.
Yet another reason why men see younger women is because they can take advantage of them in most aspects of the relationship. An older man has more experience with relationships, while a younger woman may not have. Often women are tired of dating men who are immature and are thankful for the maturity and experience that comes with dating an older and emotionally stable man.
