Steps To Mend The Blender By Yourself
Blenders are one of the most useful household appliances in homes. The goodness of blenders is not a secret to anyone. These work well in preparing smoothies, crush ice and blend other food items as well.
But, like any other thing, blenders also demand for frequent maintenance and are subject to wear and tear with time. There are some common juicer and blender problems, and learning to avoid or fix them will help elongate the life for your juicer or blender.
If the blender fails and doesn’t work at all, first be sure that you have the power switched on and that outlet is working correctly. Also, try switching on a different appliance to be sure.
Next, test your blender by first unplugging it from the power supply. Even the red emergency shut- off switched should also be turned off, before starting with the repair process. Here, you need to inspect the switch first. Make use of volt- ohm meter for that. Set the scale to RX1. Clip the testing leads to switches provided on the front panel of the appliance. If you get an infinity reading, your switch is bad.
Often the situation is faced when motor is running but the blades have come to stand. For this, loose coupling or the drive stud located beneath the blender is to be blame. All you need is to screw the loose stud. For the totally gone washer or stud, replace it with the new one.
Sometimes, situation may occur when stud is well in place but the blades are still in difficulty. The assembly socket that holds the drive stud needs to be examined. Reinstate the new washer.
If the blender fails and doesn’t work at all, may be the motor is faulty. Check for the power supply, cord and the electrical outlet. Finding all in place, get the appliance repaired from some qualified electrician.
The fuse cartridge may also create a problem, if the fuse is blown, replace it and things will be alright. Here, only a few problems relating to the blenders are discussed but there can be so many other reasons for its malfunctioning.
