Lavender – Lavender is the most popular oil on the market currently. The reason? It is extremely versatile. It works as an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anxiolytic that heals burns, eases pain, and stops inflammation.

Geranium – Geranium is a non-drying antiseptic that works as a good tonic for general situations. It is great for helping with skin issues, including small cuts and abrasions. It is one of the few oils that has been successful with fighting Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria.
Melaleuca – Melaleuca oil, more commonly known as tea tree, has good protective properties. Use Melaleuca oil in your first aid kits. You will not be disappointed. All you need to do is add a drop of Melaleuca oil to the gauze and then you have the best chance of controlling scrapes and infections.
Oregano – Oregano is a very powerful antiseptic. The reason it is so powerful is because Carvacrol, Oregano’s primary molecule, has very Carvacrol, has very strong antimicrobial activity. Because of its strong antiseptic ability it can be too strong to apply topically.
Lemon – Lemon is another strong antiseptic. It works as a tonic to aid with relief from headaches or insect bites as well. You can even use lemon to clean your home because of its antiseptic ability, and it has a pleasant aroma to go along with it.
