It is great to be able to have this option if you want a physical view of the location you are going to visit. You can also get a hybrid of both satellite and map for any location.
Joining with Nextel in 2004 MapQuest created a mobile system called Mobile Buddy. It lets you use your cell phone with the program to get directions. You can be on the go and get the directions you need as it guides you to your location. It also began putting in directions through OnStar in 2007 in most General Motors cars. You can even have a voice activation system rigged with your steering wheel.
Directions aren’t the only thing you can get from MapQuest. You can get information on businesses in your area, or the area you are going to, with the Yellow Pages that is on the homepage online. You can type in the business and get store hours and directions to where you need to go. It will even tell you what roads to avoid because of construction.
MapQuest also has a unique gas price feature that you can use to find out the best gas prices where you are. The days of driving around for the best prices are over with MapQuest. You can input your current location and get the stores that have the lowest prices. They will also give you their hours and each location and directions as well if you need them.
Getting to where you need to go has never been so easy with the use of Map Quest. Using the built in options anywhere you are is easy and simple to use. Get on the road and trust where you are going using this great program that is nationally known.
