Loving Books
If knowledge is power, then books are the most powerful of all things in this world. Books have been written since ages, imparting information and knowledge. Books were not always the paper ones. Books have been written on anything that man got his hands on. He has written on stones, tablets, pots, palm leaves, walls, papyrus, reeds, and many more. Books were basically man’s method of keeping track of things. He has collected information that is still being used today. Now also, biographies, autobiographies, historical books, journals and magazines are published for the mankind. Apart from these, a large amount of space is kept aside for fiction. Short stories, novels, poetry, novellas, etc are found to be the rage.
Books are a great temptation to man. Days are memorable when one has a good book with him/her. Reading a book is a great way to spend one’s time. It is not only knowledgeable but also relaxing and rejuvenating. Books are said to be one’s ticket to the world. One could travel the whole world with a book. Books are one’s magic carpet- one can travel to wherever he/she wants to and return in a jiffy. A book is a world in itself and it opens up a paradise to whoever opens it.
What every book lover dreams of is to own his favorite books; to expand his collection. Every book lover dreams of having a collection of beautiful books that could be one’s ticket to the world; it is a dream to have the whole world in one’s pocket, rather one’s bookshelf.
A book lover would always desire the best for his books; always wanting the perfect way to store books. A book lover would never be able to endure dog ears, ripped pages, jagged ends on his books. Hence, the book shelf is what the perfect solution for all this is. There are a multitude of bookshelves available today. Floating book shelves and built in book shelves are two of the common book shelves. Apart from these, one efficient and classy bookshelf would be the ladder bookshelf, which resembles a ladder but is ultimately a bookshelf.
At the end of the day, it is not just reading and owning a book that counts, but storing it properly and taking care of it is as important.
