Learn the Colors Of Feng Shui In Canada

by

Everybody has a favorite color or colors. In feng shui, the use or colors is far above personal favorites. Here’s how the colors affect the peace and tranquility in your home.

Feng shui is made up of five elements: metal, fire, wood, wind and earth. They each have an associated color or collection of colors that represents the energy of the element.

Earth – Light colors like beige or pale yellow are associated with the earth element. Earth stands for stability. When you’re grounded in a solid relationship, it’s the earth element at work. The light colors in this group lighten up your spaces making you feel as though anything is doable.

Fire – What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this element? Maybe it’s the heat or a passionate feeling. Both words are used to describe the feng shui fire element. As you might imagine, colors associated with the fire element are red, orange, bright yellow, pink and purple. If you think that pink doesn’t seem to fit, you haven’t seen the “hot” variation. All of these colors will make your heart race and feed your energetic attitude.

Wood – Why do you think money is most often green? Trees are obviously made of wood and most often contain lush leaves of green. They are givers of life and Feng shui philosophy states that the wood element stands for prosperity and keeping with that theme of “givers of life”, green and brown are the colors that fit.

Metal – You might not think metal is an example of feng shui but don’t be surprised to find out you’re mistaken. Metal brings clarity and clearness to your existence. The colors that stand for this are gray and white.

Water – Water is an element that represents abundance and a refreshing spirit. When you bathe in water it makes you feel clean. Using the colors of blue and black in your home promotes that purity.

I really encourage you not to be intimidated by the use of colors. Use the feng shui energy map as your guide and go for it. The correct use of the feng shui colors not only on the walls but, also with furniture and artwork will get the energy flowing in your home. It inspires both the body and mind.
