Is there Hope In Marriage Through Counseling After The Cheating?

by

Many people believe that cheating is the fatal blow for marriages. Oddly enough, when you compare the statistics about cheating and statistics about causes for divorce this is not the case. With that in mind there has to be something that will work to help you pull your marriage together and save your family the horror of divorce. Marriage counseling is a great start.

You have two options available for you, individual counseling or couples counseling.

However serious your situation maybe, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t consider both. True it would cost something to save that marriage through counseling and there are cheaper options of course. If you are really into saving your marriage, counseling might be the best and effective way available for common couple. Before you clinch that bullet between your teeth you have to keep the following in mind.

1) Counseling works because it helps you both dig down deep to find the root of the problems. Figuring out what went wrong is one of the most important first steps towards making things right. People don’t generally wake up one morning and decide “it feels like a good day to cheat on my husband or wife.” It just doesn’t happen that way. There are underlying issues that need to be discovered in order to give your marriage a hope at all of being saved.

2) Lines of communications will be open for you both with counseling. Talking to each other is somewhat difficult when there’s that open wound brought by cheating into your marriage. Scared of saying the wrong things, you both decide to do the worst thing and that is not saying anything at all. With uncomfortable silences, nothing gets worked out. It won’t happen really. Often the problem will just multiply.

3) You’ll get another person’s point of view when in counseling. “Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars” they say, but there is truth in that. A lot actually. It is common in a relationship for one of the party saying something and while the other understood differently. Try to hear your words from your partner’s ears. It will bring a whole lot of difference in the way you communicate thereafter. Actually it is one of those great lessons you’ll take away with you from marriage counseling when it comes to saving marriages after the cheating.

Don’t have the money for counseling or can’t convince your ex to go? You can still get your ex wife back and save your marriage but you’ll need to use this sneaky trick: http://www.magicofmakingup.com that most people don’t know about to make it happen.
