They have some shelves, pockets and drawers. They are great for anything you want to put inside them, excluding items that mus hang. They bring order into the process of saving clothes.
Another good plan is to get double hanging bars. With these you can fit in more clothes. They are also handy for grouping clothes of a similar kind together. Clothes you wear regularly can hang on the front bar while the items for special occasions go to the back.
If saving your shoes is a major problem, get a shoe bag. Go for the hanging type. This will leave the floor of the closet compartment open as extra packing space. The bags have transparent plastic compartments so that you can find a particular pair of shoes at a glance. Even your shoe chewing puppy won’t find it easy stealing them from there.
Some bins that you can stack may be ideal. The larger ones can be kept for putting out of season clothes. This is especially handy in summer time as you can get rid of those bulky winter clothes taking up space or the hanging bars.
Small containers are handy when you want to keep items that are small in size but valuable. Ornaments, handbags and shoes can be kept separately in this manner and they can be labeled or color coded for easy identification and retrieval.
A set of baskets can also do wonders. Made of wire that has been coated with plastic they are open and allow you to see what is inside. They fit neatly in place and anything that is folded can be saved in them.
When you have some of the organizer items, a good way to finally get that unruly packing space under control is to allocate a few hours to packing. This should only be necessary once unless you don’t play by the rules afterwards. Take out everything. Then fit the extra bars, if you have bought them. Pack your clothes into your new containers and replace them. And there you have it, the new orderly packing space. Closet organizers can make a lot of difference.
