You still love your spouse, but you just can’t see going through the expense of hiring a marriage counselor. One thing is your spouse may not even agree to it, and you don’t really have the money either. So now you have to save marriage alone, with no help from the outside world.
At times this can come from a problem of too much pride. Not many people will want to admit they are having problems in their marriage. That’s especially true if it seems like such a great marriage to people outside the walls of your home.
