Home Theater Setup Guide

by

Are you planning to install a home theater system in your room? Then you don’t require a professional for the installation but you can do it yourself and invest your installation budget some where else. You just need to follow some logical steps for installation and do a careful planning for it.

First of all decide where you are going to install your theater. Decide whether you are going to devote whole living room to make a complete theater or a big corner in your room? Install it in such a way that it doesn’t crate any technical problem and also adds to the decor of the room.

If home theater is installed in a single room then it will not create any problem as you have enough space to move objects and use them. Also you get sufficient space to decide your sitting position from where you can get a better view.

You need to be little creative while installing your system. Home theater systems are available in an extensive variety of shapes and sizes. Now you have to choose a system that will go with designing and finishing of your room.

The length of cable used for making the connections should be little large means the connections should be little loose so that you can move the parts to some other place conveniently. Just for saving little money in buying cables don’t make your setup inflexible.

It is also very important to decide the size of your screen according to your room size. The distance where you sit should be 1.5 to 2.5 times the width of the screen to have better view of screen. Otherwise, even a great TV will look less than its best. Also take a strong stand that can easily bear the weight of your gear.

A normal set of home theater comes along with a DVD player, digital receiver, manifold speakers with a subwoofer. You need to connect them properly for using.

Check whether enough AC power is coming in the room or not. It is very important to have a dedicated line for proper functioning of your system and making connections easy. No doubt, your system will generate a lot of heat so you should install a whisper fan before starting home theater installation.
