High Blood Pressure Symptoms

Oxygen and other major nutrients are supplied to different parts of the body through blood. The pumping action of heart makes the blood flow in the arteries. Which constitutes to blood pressure.

The force exerted by the blood on the walls of the blood vessels when it is passing through them is known as blood pressure. When there is high blood pressure the arteries lose their flexibility and become stiff.

The high blood pressure symptoms are

Headaches

Vision problems

Black outs.

The major causes of the high blood pressure are

Changes in lifestyle

Having excess weight

Low physical activity

Improper meals

The main cause of High blood pressure is Hypertension

The normal blood pressure range is 120/80mm of Hg. The blood pressure in the range 120/80 to 139/89 is known as pre hyper tension range. The blood pressure range above 140/90 is normally known as high blood pressure.

There are two figures which indicate blood pressure. The first figure is systolic pressure which is the pressure when the heart contracts and pumps the blood and the other figure which is the diastolic pressure.

The diastolic pressure reflects the lowest pressure in the arteries.

The major complications of high blood pressure are heart diseases, kidney diseases, rigidness in arteries and stroke.

To keep the blood pressure in the normal range following thing need to be done

Stop smoking

Diet should be low in cholesterol content and salt content

Avoid alcohol

Exercise should be done moderately on daily basis

Maintaining the weight

Most of the times the symptoms of the high blood pressure go unnoticed the only best way to know the high blood pressure are to get tested.

High blood pressure if not treated it can create life threatening complications. Due to higher blood pressure for a longer period of time the walls of the arteries become less flexible and a condition known as atherosclerosis develops where the fats are deposited in the arteries.

People with higher blood pressure may have angina which is chest pain, shortness of breath and symptoms which relate to heart diseases. Hypertension makes the heart of a person work more and harder. Which makes the muscles of the heart enlarge and cause inefficient pumping of blood.
