Sandra plays the role of Margaret, a career driven, ambitious woman who works as the editor of a publishing house in New York. She is very hardworking and dedicated and enjoys a good reputation at her work place and she strives really hard to keep the good name. Ryan plays Margarets assistant, Andrew. Margaret is someone for whom her career as an editor is all that matters. She he is highly ambitious and all is well at her New York office. As expected in a Rom-com there is a twist. Despite all the success Margaret is soaking in, she faces an unfamiliar situation of deportation. She might have to go back to Canada which would literally mean the end of her career as an editor.

To solve this situation as quickly as possible, Margaret tries out all permutations and combinations. Finally she comes up with a very interesting plan. She declares that Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) is her fianc. Being an ad-hoc plan, Andrew has no idea about what Margaret is saying. Andrew hates Margaret big time, he however plays along with her plan. We later understand he did this because he wanted the post of an editor in return for his helpful act.

Like any lawfully abiding citizen, they must go through an interviewing process to make the engagement official. This part of the movie was my favorite as it was funny and engaging. The interviewer cautions the so called couple of consequences of fake marriages and he also scares the wits out of them when he asks questions pertaining to their relationship.

To make their so called relationship look more genuine, Margaret decides to holiday with Andrew in Alaska for a weekend. Andrews parents live in Alaska and they plan to stay at his parents house. It is here that the parents force both of them to get married and when they finally do, the laughing riots are guaranteed to be hard to suppress.

Chemistry between the leading characters is the most important thing in a romantic film. Margaret and Andrew, played by Sandra and Ryan, set the screen on fire with their chemistry. Whether it is the sensitive romantic scenes or the intense hate ones, the couple pulls it off perfectly. This is definitely a pair to look out for! A pleasant surprise in the movie comes in the form of Betty White who plays Andrews grandma. She pulls off emotional as well funny scenes with equal ease. Betty Whites superb performance will definitely be a hit with the audience.
