First Aid Kits With Essential Oil
Essential oil is very beneficial for people in an emergency setting. It is a wonderful idea to use oils in your first aid kit. They can come in handy very easily.
Oils are very nice because they are so useful. If you know how to use them, and what they can be used for, they can be just as handy as other traditional medicine. They have great healing properties and are perfect for a first aid kit.
When you put together your first aid kit, you need to decide what types of essential oils you want to use. There are many different choices out there. Try to limit the amount in your kit to 7 or 8.
Essential oils should always be handled carefully. They should be stored away from a lot of heat or light. They are volatile, so the better storage place they are in the better their shelf-life.
After you’ve decided on which oils to use, know how they are to be applied or used for emergencies. If they need an agent or carrier oil to go along with them, find one. A good carrier oil for most oils is sweet almond oil.
Don’t forget to include other first aid kit materials. Include normal things, like gauze, tape, scissors, tweezers, etc. You should also remember to include a way to apply the various oils you choose.
Place a piece of paper in the kit with instructions on how to use the essential oils. When an emergency happens you need to have clear instructions so you don’t forget how they are used. It is always good to have instructions available for people who aren’t familiar with the oils as well.
Be sure to never leave the essential oils where children can reach it. They are never meant to be swallowed. Be sure to have child-proof caps on all medicines in the first aid kit to prevent overdoses or poisoning.
