It is relatively economical to work with fiberglass than with other materials. Fiberglass is known for its property of having a higher surface area to weight ratio. Other good points of fiberglass are that it is light in weight, durable and non-corrosive. It also has a higher resistance to extreme environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, ultra-violet light and chemical acids. Another reason why manufacturers favor fiberglass is because it can be produced in diverse textures, finishes and colors depending on the requirement.

These are the reasons that majority of the manufacturers are turning to fiberglass construction. The evidence is more visible in the boat building business. It has been discovered that fiberglass helps to build really high quality of boats. Boats that are built using fiberglass are durable and strong.
