Do You Make This #1 Blunder on the Cayenne Pepper Diet? The TOP Mistake People Make With the Cayenne Pepper Diet

July 8, 2009 by

The Cayenne Pepper Diet (or Master Cleanse) is meant to be followed for 3 – 10 days, depending on your experience level. A lemonade is made from fresh lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and filtered water. It tastes delicious and will purge your body of accumulated toxins and waste matter while also help you lose fat.

New dieters often make this common blunder. Not understanding the consequences, they try to save money by buying cheap substitutes for the recipe ingredients. This renders the Cayenne Pepper Diet almost worthless for detoxing.

It’s tempting to save money by buying ordinary syrup, lemon concentrate and bottled water. But these cheaper substitutes won’t have the nutrients you need for a proper cleanse.

You must use only REAL maple syrup, preferably Grade B. If you can get your hands on organic syrup, buy it. The grade of the syrup roughly corresponds to the season in which the sap was collected from the maple trees. Grade A syrup is gathered early in the season and is light in color and mild to taste. Grade B is darker and has a stronger maple flavor. There is also a Grade C which is very dark and strong. This is used only for commercial purposes.

Grade B maple syrup is the recommendation for the Cayenne Pepper Diet. It’s dark and full of flavor and nutrients. Pancake syrup is not appropriate for a cleanse as it contains no nutrients.

Finding good maple syrup should not be difficult. You will likely find it at your local supermarket or health food store. The cost is between $8 – $10 per 32 ounces but you could pay more if you are buying strictly organic. You will require several bottles for the 10 day cleanse. If price is a concern, remember that you won’t be eating solid food during your cleanse and that will save you money.

Fresh squeezed lemon juice is at the heart of the cleanse. Don’t substitute with concentrate and try to find organic if you can. The lemonade should be tasty to drink and using concentrate will make it taste revolting. Fresh, whole lemons are delicious and contain the proper nutrients you are looking for. You can expect 3-4 tablespoons of lemon juice per lemon so you will be squeezing a lot of lemons. Consider acquiring a juicer for this to save on labor.

We are made up of primarily water. So it should be no surprise that the quality of the water we use for our lemonade should be high. Use filtered water, not bottled water. Bottled water is often just plain tap water in a fancy package. You deserve better than that. Buy a Brita water filter or purchase a more expensive water filtration system for your tap. Fresh, pure, clean water is important to your overall health. And remember, you are detoxifying! You want to put ONLY high quality ingredients back into your body.

If you maintain a high standard for your Cayenne Pepper Diet recipe, you can have a successful cleanse and start feeling like a newer, younger, YOU. If you have never cleansed before, then understand that the cleanse will do wonders for you because the lemonade gives your body everything it needs – calories and nutrients – yet still works at detoxifying and cleaning your body at the same time. photo credit Cieleke @ http://www.sxc.hu
