Few dishwashers have a heating element inside it which maintains a temperature of 140 degrees at which dishes could be well cleaned.
But instead of 140 degrees you can also maintain a temperature 125 degrees. By lowering the temperature to this level you can save considerable amount of electricity with out affecting the quality of cleaned utensils. Moreover, it also eliminates the chances of any accident due to overheated water.
