Today the fast moving world makes it very hard to coupe up with work challenges. Living with the stress of our daily lives, and then facing more stress once we reach work is increasing day by day. This pressure is being faced by everyone the employers, managers, or workers. Stress levels can be normal or abnormal, but it affects our health and productivity the most. Therefore, we need to find ways to manage, and control the level of stress, and gladly there are several ways to do that.

The stress that a worker goes through is different from that of the employer. A worker faces pressure on himself due to the disturbed economy. He becomes very doubtful because of layoffs, budget cuts, or even job security. The ability to control stress makes one a good worker. The stress reduction can be done with a slight attitude change.

First, a worker should take accountability of his work, secondly, he should remove any negative thinking, and thirdly, he should try, and improve the relationship and communication level with his fellow workers, and the employer.

The stress that the employers face is different, as it directly makes an impact on the ability of the employees. They have to be good role models, so that under their supervision, the workers can work smoothly. A great employer is the one who can assess the positive and negative abilities of a worker. He is wise enough to manage them appropriately to produce good productivity. To provide a stress free environment is the duty of the employer for its employees.

Following are some suggestions that employers should take for reducing stress at work. They should improve communication, by sharing information with their workers to reduce their fear of job uncertainty. The responsibilities of employees, or workers should be clearly defined. This communication should be friendly, and efficient.

In order to reduce the fear of losing a job, the employees should be consulted in company decisions on a regular basis. Reasonable deadlines should be given, so that the pressure level is minimum. The individual attempt of employees should be valued. To develop the careers further, a development opportunity should be provided. The emotional intelligence plays a critical part for reducing stress. This is something, which no one is born with, but it can be developed over time.

An employee, who is stressed at work, should do the following things. Firstly, you can breakaway from the stressful situation by taking some time out, walk for a while, sit on a bench in the park, meditate for some time, or listen to music. Secondly, you can talk it out with someone. It is the best stress reducer to share your troubles with someone. Thirdly, you can make friends at work place that can assist you if you are in pressure, and can reduce your workload. Fourthly, you can try to find humour in stressful situations.

To control stress at the workplace, you need to be well managed, and wise. There are different ways to do it. If you are a good time manager, you will be able to complete all your tasks efficiently. If you eat good, drink well, and stay away from all toxins, you will have a good healthy life, and it will help you perform well in your work. Sleeping early and exercising keeps your mind fresh, and your productivity is enhanced.
