Lastly, there is also a wave front guided surgical procedure. It is also known as custom Lasik. Severe problems in the optical system can be identified before the procedure is performed. The surgery implements a technique called wave front mapping.
LASIK surgery, like all processes, has some risks and complications which you must know about beforehand. There can be under or over correction post-surgery. You also might end up in a situation where you still need glasses or contact lenses. Furthermore, there is a chance that the results might not be permanent. Your normal eyesight can become affected and worsened. In the worst case scenario, you could possibly even lose your vision.

Moreover, be careful in choosing your doctor. Make sure the doctor is experienced, well reputed in the community, has access to state-of-the-art techniques, his availability in the post-treatment period just in case of any problems and, most of all, don’t believe in guarantees.
