Firstly, determine the place where you want to install the lights. Since, the under- cabinet puck lights are used to illuminate the particular area, these should be placed closely enough. The distance between the two lighting fixtures should be 12 to 18 inches.
Using a pencil, mark the places for your puck lights. Make sure, the position you mark is in the center and it is equally marked form both the front and the back edges. Also, take care that you must make a mark equal to that distance behind the mark you just made.
Done with all the markings, now you are ready to put- in place the puck light housing. Hosing is basically a frame that holds the light. Safely install them. Also, fasten them with the nuts and bolts that are provided in the light kit. A small opening under the housing for wiring purpose should be unseen and covered.
Next step is to wire the puck lights and provide electricity to them. For this, determine the length of your wiring by measuring the distance from light to light, and from the first light to the electricity source, with a ruler or tape measure. Lay down the wiring and make connections.
Mount your lights into the housings and connect the power wiring. Also, do not work with the live electricity. Turn off the power from the mains before getting into the task.
