Best Ways to Rid Yourself of Cankles

Everyone with the issue is dying to know: How do I get rid of these annoying cankles? When this random and unfortunate weight gain curse targets those weird, hard to work areas, we are at our wits end when it comes to a solution using traditional exercises. Not to mention, it ruins our self esteem and confidence. There are some solutions for this unfortunate case.

When it comes to gaining weight in weird areas of the body, you may lose the motivation necessary to even attempt to start losing the weight. With something common like belly fat, if we jog for a while along with a schedule of sit-ups, we can eventually lose that weight. But weight gain between our ankles and calf muscles? What can possibly be done to get rid of cankles? Follow these few steps for starters.

1. Leg Exercises and Walking – If you’re jogging, or just taking 4-5 brisk walks a week, eventually you will see the results if you stick to it, even in those hard to access areas. If you’ve tried these, take a shot at incorporating some sprints, pilates, or leg lunges into your schedule at least three times a week to get rid of unsightly cankles.

2. Calf Raises – Have you ever heard of the saying, if you have a problem, always go to the source? Well, there’s no better way to get rid of unsightly cankles than doing some calf raises to start swapping out annoying fat with shapely muscle.

3. Diet – Watch the amount of sodium in the foods you consume. High levels add to the possibility of retaining water in that pocket between your ankle and calf. Diet plays a major role in your physique. You are what you eat. Keep a healthy diet along with exercise to help with getting rid of those cankles.

Some people go months, or even years simply covering up their cankles. They invest in loads of thick gym socks, or even boots to wear with dresses just to make sure no one ever gets a peek at their cankles. Unfortunately, when they get home and undress, their cankles are still there, along with another batch of low self esteem.

When the time comes to rock a swim suit, you’ll simply get ridiculed if you step out on the beach with some fluffy gym socks, drawing more attention to yourself than you would have if you just wore your cankles out that day. Take charge and take the necessary steps to get rid of your cankles as opposed to taking shortcuts.
