The taste of BBQ chicken can range anywhere from the sweet to the tangy, depending on the spices used and the way it is cooked. The type of sauce that is used varies from area to area, and every cook has their own unique variation of it. the area you were raised in will likely dictate the style you like best.

The tangy and slightly sour sauces are best known and loved in the south eastern states of the US. These have a strong distinguishable taste. Comparatively, Tomato or honey based sauces are common in the south west. There are variations mixed in, with some areas enjoying a mustard-based sauce as well. Follow the recipe as to whether grill or bake, and if it says to grill choose the option that has the best taste in your opinion.

Marinating the chicken in BBQ sauce, the chicken can be marinated for up to twenty four hours before cooking. The oven should be preheated before putting the BBQ chicken in the oven. The best temperature to cook BBQ chicken at is three hundred and fifty degrees. BBQ chicken cooked in the oven will still reflect the flavor of BBQ chicken. BBQ chicken can also be cooked on a rotisserie.

If you are not up to cooking the chicken yourself, you can also find restaurants that serve BBQ chicken. These can either be establishments that are dedicated to barbecue and barbecue sauces, or they can be standard restaurants. The smaller dedicated establishments often have the best BBQ because of their home-made recipes and dedication to making the best sauces. That said, sometimes standard restaurants are better for their sometimes lower prices. Each state has an array of local restaurants to try from, and finding them is as easy as asking around to get advice from other BBQ lovers.
