Although bathroom is build in a small space but it needs good lighting and decor. Bathroom is a place where you shave, apply face makeup and do many more things. For all of these tasks, good lighting is required in the bathroom.
While fixing lights in bathroom always keep in mind that water and electricity can be a dangerous mix. So you need to be careful about the placement and type of light fixtures. Make sure that any light fixture placed near the bath or shower is rated for wet locations.
If you want to install ceiling lights in your bathroom then flush-mounted lights is a good choice. The added advantage of using the flush-mounted lights is that they do not need much space and lightens the room with good and even light. These lights look simple and give your bathroom a neat and clean look.

Some extra lights could also be used along with the wall or ceiling lights such as a small table lamp. This can be placed near an outlet on a countertop or any other similar place. Such lights are used to provide extra brightness to your bathroom.
If you want to give a romantic and astonishing look to your bathroom then you can also install candle stands and beautiful candles in your bathroom. Perfumed candles should be used if you can spend little more money as it will greatly enhance the ambiance of the bathroom. Dimmer switches can also be used to change the lighting of the bathroom according to the mood.
After deciding the type of light to be used in your bathroom, you also need to decide the material to be used in the lighting fixtures. The design and construction of bathroom should be according to the overall design of the house. Nickel, chrome, bronze, brass, pewter, iron, platinum and gold could be used to make the light fixtures.
