When I finished college, I moved to Queensland for two years. I eventually became home sick and moved back to Canberra. I was out partying one night with girlfriends at a bar and Mark asked a mutual friend to introduce us. We danced for a while and he asked me out to dinner the following Saturday night - I knew he was the one from that first dance. We bought a house together two years later and lived there for three years - Mark told me that he had won a prize on a local radio station for us to go skydiving. I had never done anything like it before and was very nervous, but he kept telling me that it would be ok and that I would love it. We went up in a tiny plane and when we reached 10,000 feet, it was time to jump - just before Mark jumped out, he looked at me and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes and jumped out after him. When we landed friends and family were waiting for us with champagne and of course, the ring. It was very romantic and a huge surprise.

Glenn and I met at a mutual friends' house one night 7 years ago. It was definitely love at first sight as we have never left each others' side since and are still so blissfully happy as when we first met. Glenn proposed on Valentine's Day 2007, 5 years later, at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens after a picnic lunch in lush surrounds with the background of flowing water. It was such a surprise and the most memorable experience of my life.

Beg, borrow, hire or steal an extra camera for the day - set it up with a different lens. I try to shoot with one wide angle lens (great for candid shots and in tight spaces (particularly before the ceremony in the preparation stage of the day) and one longer lens (it can be handy to have something as large as 200mm if you can get your hands on one - I use a 70-200mm).

Glenn booked a room at the Stamford Plaza in Brisbane. After we had arrived, we went for a walk in the botanical gardens in the afternoon and I thought for sure he would propose then but he didn?t. We went back to our room to dress for dinner. Glenn had asked me to pick where we would go for dinner so I had selected the Pancake manor. After dinner he pulled the ring box out and put it on the table and said will you marry me. Glenn was so nervous he had this look on his face as if I was going to say no, but offcourse I accepted! We then went to the movies. Our engagement party wasn?t long after this on the 8th November 2003.
