Lose Weight In A Week With These Three Steps

You hear it almost daily, from family, friends, strangers, even the news. We’re all carrying extra pounds. There are both genetic and environmental reasons for this problem. And the truth is, some of us are looking for ways to lose weight fast. And how can you do it? Here are three different, totally free, plans that can help you lose weight in just one week.

It’s important to know that the human body is 75 percent water. That water is necessary to carry blood, lubricate muscles, carry electrical impulses through the brain, everything we do requires water. Because water is so vital to the human body, it is internally programed to retain water to protect against future need. Most of us carry around 5 to 8 pounds of excess weight in the form of water. And how do we reduce this water weight? It may sound strange, but by simply drinking more water, we can re-program the body not to keep this excess supply. If a person consumes as much as a gallon of water each day, his/her body will be signaled that there is no need to retain water and the excess will be eliminated from the body.

Another way to lose weight in a week is to eat better; consume just fruits and vegetables, and nothing else. The calorie count for a large green salad is very low. You’ll get a lot more fiber, as well as bring down the amount of calories you take in. Fiber helps to clean out the bowels and eliminate a substantial amount of excess waste that many people with bad diets carry around.

The third plan involves elements of both of the previous two alternatives. Still as simple as the first two, increasing the amount of water you drink and fruits & vegetables you eat. To keep your body healthy, you must also eat moderate amounts of protein, such as fish, meat, and poultry, and carbohydrates found in grains. Carbohydrates supply the fuel for your body, protein the building blocks for muscle, water to lubricate, and fiber to cleanse. The proper fuel and natural reduction in calories will result in weight loss.

Although this last plan make work more slowly, it is a more balanced way of dieting that allows the body to receive the nutrients it needs and take in less calories each day than it burns.

A good average weight loss for a single week is between 8 and 20 pounds following the balanced plan. Assuming, of course, that you have that much excess weight to lose. It’s not a bad goal, as it’s a common excess weight amount.
