Most women are warned from early adolescence that there are certain types of guys to avoid. The problem is that it’s very easy to ignore these warnings when a handsome man is trying his best to sweep you off of your feet! Here are some categories and types of guys that you should certainly be watching out for.

First, let’s talk about every woman’s favorite and least favorite sort of guy: the player. The reason that I say the player is every woman’s favorite and least favorite sort of man at the same time is that the player is usually deceivingly charming… in the beginning. As time passes, the player begins to show his true colors, and the relationship often ends in heartbreak for you, the woman.

So, what does a player really want, anyway? The truth is that players are often after different things. Some players simply feel good about charming and ultimately deceiving women, as it helps to grow their ego (which is a great feeling to a man). Other players are doing it merely for sexual satisfaction, and still others are in it to impress their friends or use women as stepping stones to improve their social status. The bottom line is that a player should be avoided because he cares about himself much more than he cares about you.

While a player may seem like a “bad guy”, in the wacky world of dating sometimes even a good guy can be bad. I’m talking about men who are actually too nice. I’m sure you know the type! These sorts of men don’t make you feel like you’re with a man at all. While their constant adoration and affection can be cute at first, eventually their groupie-like behavior will become a major turn off. It can be very tempting to give these men a chance, but in the end, you need to realize that you need to be with a man that you can both respect and be attracted to for the long haul. That’s the only way it will ever work.

Finally, women should avoid men who are overly controlling. This is a deep flaw usually stemming from insecurity. You can’t help or change these types of men; they have to do it on their own. No matter what good qualities you see in a man like this, it isn’t worth the emotional turmoil he will drag you through.

Now that you know the three types of men that you should avoid, make sure that you keep these profiles in mind and do a little bit of screening when you begin to see a new man. Most men will hide their true nature initially, but strong personalities always leave clues. Find them and move on; you don’t need any more heart aches in your life!
